Skunks
is a very special rat! I was with my sister and we were walking
through the pet store and she said "Let's go look at the rats." I said
no way! I was terrified of rats! A employee heard us
talking and he said "Come here I can show you something you will fall in
love with." I said "Yeah, right," under my breath and hesitantly
proceeded to follow. As soon as we turned the corner, he handed me this
precious little Dumbo Rat. I instantly fell in love! This little rat
fell in love with me too! I was sold! He was licking my fingers,
cuddling with me and begging me to take him home. I brought him home and
ever since that day he has been nothing but a bundle of joy for me and
my husband. Actually, my husband fell in love with Skunks so much that
he went and got Skunks' brother, Tele.
Skunks is very full of energy! He hops around like a kangaroo, wags his
tail like a dog when he is very content and happy, and makes sure his
brother is clean at all times. He goes bonkers for Yogies! He can be so
far away and when I shake the bottle of Yogies he will come flying! He
gets out about five yogies and hides them from his brother and then will
quickly eat them all! He is very curious, he would love to get into
anything and everything if he could, but he has to be closely monitored!
He loves riding on my shoulders. He would do this all day if he could!
He loves me and I am so happy! "To the world, you are one person, To a
rat, you are the world!" Skunks is so special to me, because he has
taught me how lovable and special rats are, he has given me a whole new
perspective on rats! Thank you Skunks for being such a wonderful friend
to me, you are loved so much and I pray that you could live forever! I
love you!
