This
is our pet rat, Darci. She is fourteen months old and a little
madam! She loves to jump off the sofa, runaway and play "hide and seek"
with us! she also likes to tug on clothes hoping to steal and take back
to her home as bedding for herself and her sister Willow. As well as
sniffing in ears and getting tangled up in hair, Darci also loves to
chew the plastic bottom of her cage to try and escape!
Although Darci is a character, she can also be very affectionate and
loves to clean your finger in the middle of cleaning herself and
Willow.
When Darci was born she was the quieter of the two but things have
certainly changed! Darci is very active now and loves attention whereas
Willow loves nothing more than her food and getting a cuddle and fuss
off her owners.
Darci and Willow are the most fun, loving little rats anybody could ever
meet and make great companions. Do not be put off by a rat's reputation -
domestic rats make great first time pets and will leave memories that
last a life time.
