[pronounced ka-soo-koo] is Swahili for parrot. He turned a year
old on February 8th. He's such a funny character. I got him from an aviary
when he was eight weeks old and he is our baby. I can not have children of
my own and Kasuku has filled a void in my life. He allows you to cuddle
him on his back, he gives kisses and talks up a storm. He barks like a
dog and says "I love you," "Kisses," "Sexy boy," "Pretty Bird," "Hello,"
"Cowher-Power" (he's a Steelers fan), "He shoots... He scores" (bit of a
hockey fan as well) and calls two of our dogs, Floyd and Picasso. I
videotape him often, when I play the videos through the big-screen TV,
he goes nuts and talks to his image. Peanuts and apples are his favorite
treats. He brings several smiles and laughs to my husband and me every
day and we look forward to many more years of love, laughter and joy together.
