This
is my rabbit Oreo. On the day before Easter in 2001 I went into a
pet store just to visit all the rabbits. I didn't really have the space
for a pet, but this tiny little black and white lop, ears already down,
grabbed my heart. I picked her up, held her up to my face and she bopped
my nose with hers. Obviously, I couldn't leave her there!
Now, five years later, she has a best friend (a brown lop named Brittney).
Oreo loves playing and digging in the snow. They both love oats, oat
bread, greens and rearranging the hay in their cage. In between renting
and buying a house, I was staying with my parents, and now that I have
bought my own house, I want to bring them with me. But my dad has become
attached to them and wants me to leave them at his house. :) Luckily
we're only a couple miles apart.
