This
is my Grandparent's pet Cockatiel named Spike.
My grandparents got this bird one afternoon when my grandpa was outside
in the front yard he saw him jumping around on the sidewalk. So my
grandfather put his finger out and Spike climbed on and brought him in
the house. My grandparents got attached to him and decided to buy a
cage and everything for him and ended up keeping him since they asked
and no one said they owned him and no one put out a flyer looking for
him. He has been their bird for a year now!
He is the most sociable bird I have ever seen! He will say "good
morning" to you when you take the sheet off his cage in the morning and
then when you open the door he will climb out of his cage and go to the
top of it and whistle to the angel doll my grandma has by his cage. He
is pretty much in love with that doll. My grandmother would like to get
rid of that doll, but she just can't because of Spike.
Spike loves to fly around the house and land on your head and pull at
your hair or he will whistle to the tunes on the radio or T.V. One time
he came down to the kitchen table while I was eating and he started
eating the cereal out of my bowl. He isn't scared of anyone, not even
the dogs.
