I
got Pippin in November of 2004. He was in a pet store. He is blind in
one eye, and no one wanted him. So I took him home. He has been the
coolest little piggie ever. Every time you walk into the room he stands
up to greet you and talks away to you, and if you ask him if he wants a
carrot, he goes mad. Carrots are his favorite food. He would eat them
all day if he could. He's a bit of a nervous guy, only because he can't
see out of his left side. So he can be a bit defensive.
Well, the time came to get Pippin a brother. So I went to the pet store
that I got him from and was looking around to see if they had any more
Guinea Pigs. This little black and white guy was there with him mom, and
two sisters in different cages and he was just too cute. I picked him up
and he cuddled right into me. and I said to myself "That's it. He's
mine!" So I went home and told my parents I was getting Pippin a
brother. They weren't too keen on the idea, but I went and picked him up.
Pippin has established himself as the alpha pig. And poor Merry just
kinda stands back and lets Pippin rule. They have a scattered arguments
every now and then. But luckily I am is right there to make sure nothing
happens. So far it's only been yelling at each other. They would never
hurt the other one, they have gotten to be friends.
