I
found Nermal one cold wintery night running across my bedroom floor.
She ran into my closet into a box of shoes. I took out all of my shoes
to find her as a baby hiding beneath one of the last shoes in the box.
Nermal loves to eat oats, walnuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, crackers,
pizza crust and yogurt drops. When she runs in her wheel she goes so
fast that she goes around with the wheel over and over. She is very
acrobatic. Nermal can jump up to the lid, grab on upside down and climb
all over the lid while being upside down. I made sure to have some high
spots in her cage so that she can climb down safely.
The sweetest thing about Nermal is when I put my hand in her cage she
will climb into my palm and groom me as she would another mouse. She
also loves to be petted so much that she will stay still in my palm for
minutes at a time just to get her ears and under her chin rubbed.
