Snowball, the Pet of the Day
Name: Snowball
Age: One year old
Gender: Female
Kind: Fancy Rat
Home: Denham Springs, Louisiana, USA

Snowball is a PEW - that's a Pink-Eyed White rat, and she's a female. Snowball is one of our most spoiled babies we have here at Little Loveables Rats N Rescue. She was to be snake food and came to us one day as my wife was watching all the little ratties in a feeder cage playing and running around, not knowing what was in store for them so soon. All of them, that is, but one little girl that was sitting in the corner of their cage watching my wife. This little girl would move around the cage as my wife would walk around to look from a different side. Each time, the cute little baby would move with her and then prop up on the glass as to say, please don't let this happen to me. Well after about 20 minutes of this, my wife told the store worker to get her out. She got right on my wife's shoulder and began to chatter as if to say "Thank you so much." Well, long story short... that's all it took. Home she came.

She is now one of our most loved and most active ratties. We use Snowball in show-and-tell with the 4-H, Cub Scouts, and other group meetings on our health care and rodent awareness classes we give at Little Loveables. As you can see in her photo, she so at home with her mommy. She is just a loveable little snuggler.
