bought Roxy five years ago in April 2001. When I first got her, she was so little that I
could pick her up and she could curl up in the palm of my hand and go to sleep. However,
since then she has gotten bigger and of course, more active. Anyone who owns a ferret
knows that they don't stay still for long. She is similar to a two- or three-year-old
child... that will never grow up. Roxy's cage is located in my room, so we have had a lot
of bonding time. She has become the center of my universe. I love her with all my heart
and soul. She amazes me with her endless energy and playfulness. There is not a
table-top, corner, dresser drawer, or cabinet that she does not explore on a daily basis.
She has also became my favorite studying partner the night before a big test. I have
learned through the years that once you take the time to bond with a ferret, they leave
their little paw prints all over your heart forever.
