Roxanne
is a great turtle. She's got real personality. She loves to
burrow in the grass and hunt bugs in the summer. She loves mealworms and
earthworms.
She has only lived with me a short time. She came to me dirty, hungry,
but sweet as could be. She has lots of personality. When someone walks
into the room, she perks her head up to see if they're coming to see
her. She loves to run free and bury herself in the grass outside, loves
to trek around in the house.
She's my first turtle, and she's been a learning experience. And she's
made it very easy. She's very friendly, doesn't mind being picked up,
and carried wherever you want to take her.
Roxanne is a klutz. She often tries to climb the side of her enclosure,
and flips over onto her back. She's also very good at getting herself
flipped back over right-side up. But because of her flips, she always has
food stuck to her shell that I have to wipe clean :) Gotta keep her as
pretty as she is sweet!
