||Three year old|
||Derby Junction, New Brunswick, Canada|
is Jill, a Clydesdale/Percheron cross. She was a mess when she came to
Roberts, the place I go to ride in Derby Junction. She never had a
saddle on her or handled much, but it was love at first sight anyway.
And she grew on me, and I on her. We go for long trail rides of about five
to six hours a day. I only get to see her on weekends for I'm in Moncton
taking classes. Jill never forgets, and knows when I'm coming home. She
is always ready for a ride in the woods even though it is only the two
of us. The thought that I ride her only on weekends and she has only
been ridden about four times a month and she never has any bad behavior.
I can saddle and bridle her and leave her for awhile with out being tied
or get on her and not direct her but say were going this way fallow the
trail and she will go. We even had a fox travel with us one time. It was
our favorite time out on the trails.
