Basil
and I are best buds. I always take time to play with him at least
once a day. When I got him, I got him for free. A friend of mine had
recently bought a pregnant rat and when the babies were born I picked
Basil out of the litter. He is named for John Cleese's character Basil
Fawlty from the old British comedy show, "Fawlty Towers." His favorite
food is sunflower seeds and his favorite game is to knock over his
purple house because he knows that I will put it back the way it was.
Basil loves me so much that he doesn't like to be on anyone else's
shoulder but mine. People who think they don't like rats have never met
Basil. He is a wonderful friend.
