This
is my pet hamster Franklin. His cage is right by my bed. Franklin
is a great companion, because he never minds being woken up when I need
to talk. He may not understand everything I tell him, but he certainly
recognizes his name, and that I love him. Sometimes I wake up and find
Franklin watching me as I wake up. Franklin is special, because he is
always happy with everything that he has.
Franklin is an interior decorator - he loves setting up nests in parts
of his cage. The picture is of a nest that he built in a kind of
tower in his cage. He carried all the wood shavings that you see from
his cage below by himself. Sometimes at night I wake up to hear him
moving his nest from one place to another.
He's very fast at transporting all his stuff and sometimes I wake up to
see that he's changed everything around in his cage. It's always fun to
see what he comes up with. Franklin is a fun pet, because he always
enjoys life and is very industrious.
