Rocket
is a five-year-old nearly three-foot-long green iguana I bought from a
local pet store. He was in a tank of about fifteen others iguanas, he was
very sick and beat up. I could not leave him there to die so I bought
him. After a few months of time to heal and gain weight, he became a
very frisky little guy. At that time he was barely the size of my hand.
I have gone through many difficult times in life, and he was always
there to sit and stare at me while I told him how I felt.
His favorite things are playing in people's hair, eating cookies (raisin
and Oatmeal) basking in the sun, and sleeping with his mommy. He has
never bit, scratched, or whipped anyone. He is very gentle, many vets
can't believe he is so calm, especially because he's a male iguana and
they tend to be aggressive.
I will always have Rocket around to talk to and love for a very, very
long time.
