is Murray the bearded dragon. He is super special as he is an
amputee due to bone cancer. He was rescued four years ago and now he lives
with my husband, daughter and I and is well loved. He gets fresh worms
and salad everyday and loves his treats of strawberries and bananas!
Murray is super special to us not only because he's a friendly and
gregarious fellow, but because he's a survivor. Murray braved cancer
and endured neglect in a dark, dirty garage for years before we rescued
him. Now he's a happy little guy. Although the cancer took his leg,
Murray continues to amaze us with his positive attitude and friendly
disposition. He couldn't be happier, and neither could we.
Murray enjoys eating bananas out of our hands and kissing our
fingers. He absolutely loves to puff his beard out when our cats get
too close - just to trick them into thinking he is mean. He would never
hurt anyone but would rather sit in the sun and enjoy the day. He can
jump onto his sunning log even though he is missing a hand. He is such
an inspiration to our family. He's our fabulous boy!
