Scampers, the Pet of the Day
Name: Scampers
Age: Eight months old
Gender: Male
Kind: Fancy Mouse
Home: Nova Scotia, Canada

Scampers is a very special little mouse. He loves a good ear scratch. If I stop he squeaks at me and pushes against my fingers until I continue.

Scampers was one out of 200 in a little fifteen gallon tank. Him and his tank mates were all mostly white, but almost all had red eyes and were completely white. Scampers and his sister, had black or brown eyes and gray on their head and bum. I already had a mouse at home, it was a female, so I wanted another female, but after putting my hand in, he jumped right on my hand. He actually choose me!

Well, it didn't end there. I did take his sister, but left him behind. I heard that males smell bad, and didn't have another cage for him. After getting home, and seeing how his sister wasn't as friendly, I decided to call the pet store and ask them to hold him for me. They agreed!

When I got there the next day, all of the other 200 +/- were all sold. Where did they go!?! Well I guess just after I called to reserve Scampers, someone came in a bought all the mice but Scampers (cause he was mine). They bought them all to be fed to a snake!

Well, I'm glad this little guy picked me, it's like he knew what was going to happen! We love Scampers so much, he'll be sadly missed when he is gone! I know I'll never see another mouse like him!
