One and a half years old
||Winter White Hamster|
was the best hamster I've ever had. She died on 21/11/04 and it
was so heartbreaking. She was friendly from the day I got her. When I
first held her she licked me and gave me a little nip, hence the name.
After a few days she stopped nibbling my fingers but she kept her cute
name. One of the best things about her was she was never afraid of
humans, she loved attention and never bit anyone properly. Her favorite
food was vegetables (carrots especially), biscuit and fruit. She never
grew very big everyone thought she was a baby, but I didn't mind, as she
was my little baby.
I was thinking of breeding her, I did have a male hamster at that time
(called Golem), but I didn't want to in the end because I was too scared
they would fight. Golem died before Nibbles, even though he was younger,
Nibbles and I were very upset. Nibbles went on living for the next few
months very happily. She even learned to climb the stairs and do monkey
bars on the lid of her cage, upside-down! All my brother's and my
friends loved her. Who wouldn't love an adorable little thing like her?
I cried all day the day she died. She was that special to me. Nobody
knows why she died, I hope it was peacefully I would have hated it if it
was painful. I'm sure she will be jumping for joy when everyone knows her
name, she liked to show off, she will be my pet of the day for the rest
of my life.
