Ty, the Pet of the Day
Name: Ty
Age: Two months old
Gender: Unknown
Kind: Green Iguana
Home: Massachusetts, USA

Ty is a very lucky iguana. One morning I awoke to my mom screaming that there was lizard on a bush in the back yard. To my surprise, sitting there on the bush was a baby iguana about a foot in length from head to tail. Knowing that lizards are cold-blooded and that because I live in New England mornings can be really chilly, I rushed Ty into my house. I put him in a plastic tote with a light bulb right over him. Ten minutes later, he opened his eyes and looked at me for the first time I instantly fell in love with Ty. I asked around, and no one knew where he came from, so that will always be a mystery!

Because Ty is so young, I have no idea if it is a boy or a girl. Ty's favorite things include swimming in my bathtub, eating green squash and lettuce and looking out the window in my room. Ty is also very naughty, he likes to try and run away. My mom was petting Ty and he jumped out of the aquarium. I couldn't find Ty for two days, then coming home late one night I open my closet and there Ty was siting on the clothes hangers fast asleep. Back into the aquarium, safe and sound he went! Ty's friends include four fish - Zebra, Sucker, Red, and Stripes, an african dwarf frog named Kermit and Terror the cat.
