||Six and a half years old|
||New York City, New York, USA|
is my bunny, Bodhi, with whom I have had the pleasure to spend the
last almost seven years. He's a warm, funny, interesting, sweet,
temperamental, spoiled but most of all loved rabbit.
There is much that can be said about this little guy, after all we've
spent a great deal of time together, but to begin, he was a gift from a
friend. When I brought him home to my mom, sister and father, we had no
idea what to do with him. None of us had ever thought of having a rabbit
as a pet, but he became and remains a wonderful star and bright spot in
our lives. He likes to eat, gallop down the hall for food, cuddle and
groom, sit on our couch for a rest, and being naughty (attacking our
house plants, our shoes, any stray piece of paper, jumping onto the
dining room chairs and table, assisting with laundry). If I hadn't
lived through his rambunctious youth, I would still think that he was a
young bunny because he's still a very active guy. He's not had any major
health issues and remains in excellent health today. He's currently
dorming with me and my husband but is sorely missed by my mother.
The most important thing that I want to share is how much we care for
the Bodh. I'm not sure how he feels, but I could not imagine a time
without him. Obviously, he's aging and his time with us grows short but
I hope that this makes the time that we do have left with him that
much more special. No other animal could ever take his place. He is
truly precious to me. He's a champ and a good friend and sweetheart!
Enjoy your pets everyone!
