This
is Annabelle! She is six months old and is an African Pygmy Hedgehog.
She is the most lovable hedgehog I have ever encountered as she never
puts her quills up unless she has been woken from a nap, is disturbed
trying to go potty in her litter box, or is startled by a loud noise.
She loves being rubbed between her quills and takes pride on showing off
her great speed on her wheel (even though she often falls off of it
because she's getting so big - time for a bigger wheel soon!). She is so
gentle, and has an amazing disposition. At her very first check-up the
vet was so surprised at how well-behaved and patient she was as her
nails were being trimmed and couldn't believe how energized and
exploratory she was. Annabelle has the cutest tongue and nose and
resembles a potato when curled up sleeping. She will inhale her
mealworms and cat food like there's no tomorrow. She continues to amaze
me everyday with her adorable little quirks (always sleeping under her
pink baby blanket and getting shy if I watch her go to the bathroom).
She is by far an extraordinary ball of joy who brings her mommy endless
amusement and smiles.
