will be two in March of 2006. Sarge likes to talk a lot, and he
says lots of phrases and words. He likes to go outside and see all the
wild birds flying around, but he doesn't like his leash much.
Sarge is very friendly and loving towards people he likes. He'll cuddle
up with me (his mommy) and give me kisses, but if anyone else tries to
pet him or cuddle with him, he'll get angry and do his "duck squack,"
which he does when he gets mad. He really likes to play fetch, only,
it's the other way around! He'll throw a toy, and I have to go get it!
Then I'll give it back to him, and he'll throw it again, and again.
He's a lot of fun, but as much fun as he is, he's three times that in work.
He's messy, as are all parrots. Half the food (pellets, veggies, fruits,
etc.) he gets ends up splattered on the walls and floor. He's noisy.
There is rarely one minute in the day where Sarge is not making some
sort of noise. Though it's tolerable since I know what I got myself into
owning a parrot, I would suggest that anyone else thinking of getting a
parrot do their research first!
