Charly
is my first iguana, I spend a lot of time with her. I also do
iguana rescues and have four others in my home at this time. Charly was
a juvenile iguana when I got her in September '04. I call her my Miss
Attitude. She loves nothing better than to bob at me and the others, not
to mention hissing. She has only bitten me one time and that was because
I reached in her dark cage at night and something had already scared
her. She is 32 1/2 inches long and has always had the best of care. Her
diet consists of collard, turnip and mustard greens with a small amount
of baby greens added, topped with grated butternut squash and sweet
potato. I give her fruits twice a week and I never feed her animal
protein. Iguanas are strict vegetarians. I want to keep my baby around
for a very long time.
