My
pet is a very special little rat who is indeed lucky to be alive. A
co-worker of mine had noticed a small cardboard pet carrier under the
back of her car. It was an outdoor parking lot and it had been very cold
overnight. She was on her way to work and opened up the box there.
Inside was a tiny baby rat was calmly looking up at her, and who was
completely unharmed. My friend knew I loved animals, and especially
rats, and offered her to me after she couldn't find anyone who put her there.
Lucky is a sweet, adorable rat who loves to play rough, but when I
decide it's enough and time to stop, she will start licking me instead.
She likes to sleep on me when she is tired from playing (not that that
happens very often). She is a brave, but gentle, little girl and we were
both lucky to find each other.
