Lucky
had a very hard life before we found her. We rescued her in
November 2003 and she was extremely ill with ECE "Green Slime Disease."
We got her on Saturday after a vet checked her, and we took her to our
vet Monday morning, Right then our vet said she is in bad shape, and
they kept her until Thursday. She made it through, and today is the
queen of our nineteen ferrets, she rules the roost ...
Lucky is quite the lady, she is the smallest of our ferrets and
dominates them all, she is such a sweet little girl and loves to be held
and loved, and loves to go into her gramma's closet and hide. She really
doesn't do tricks per se, but she has learned that when she comes over
and stands up and she will be picked up and held which she loves so
much. She loves to play with all of her brothers and sisters, she'll
roll over on her back and paw at them and start squeaking at them, or
she'll run over to them and pounce on them. For a little girl she's
larger then life.
She has come along way since last November, when she would literally
attack our albino for no apparent reason. Now she likes to cuddle with
him! It's so funny to watch the bigger male ferrets with her, it's like
they know that she will set them straight. When they want to play and
she seems like she doesn't, she'll get up and chase them around. Puts
them in their place!
