This
is Penny! She is very much the tease and acrobat, she loves nothing
better than to ride around on a shoulder or to give me kisses! She is
very gentle and loves to be stroked or "scritched"! Penny lives with us
on the Elk River in Athens, Alabama.
Penny came to us from a wonderful lady in Jacksonville, FL, whose
situation had changed. She was looking for a loving home for Penny and
here we are! Penny's hatch date was December 23, 1999. She is very curious, and
very socialized. In fact, she doesn't seem to know that she's a bird! If
her cage door is open, she is on our shoulder or arm in a flash! She is
a little clown, and an acrobat, and she is incredible at untying knots!
Penny loves to sit with us on the couch and eat popcorn and watch a
movie! She is shy with talking, but is currently working on "nite nite!"
She loves to be petted - stroked and 'scritched', and gives the sweetest
kisses! She is the first one up every morning at our house, and is very
vocal about us getting up to feed her! Penny enjoys time outside here on
the Elk River, as well. We often take her cage out to enjoy the day, and
she loves to feel the wind on her feathers. She is truly our little
bright angel! Penny is just an exceptional bird!
