This
is Mozart, a white Peruvian guinea pig. I was looking through Pet
Finder one night and saw his gorgeous face. He had been found in a
dumpster and taken to The Critter Corral cavy rescue in Steger,
Illinois. He has a permanent head tilt, most likely caused by an
untreated ear infection earlier in life. It just makes him more unique
and special than ever. After having one look at him online, I knew I had
to have him.
Mozart is a very sweet cavy, and the most loving of all three I have. He
will race to the side of the cage and stand on his hind legs when I come
into the room, he'll give me kisses through the cage or when I'm holding
him, and he loves sitting on my chest or in my lap. He "popcorns" when
gets fed or when I sit in the same room as him for awhile. He also loves
being stroked under his chin and having his long locks brushed. He has
had one bath since I've gotten him, and he didn't mind the water one
bit.
Mozart is very loud and vocal, and if it is veggie time, he is the first
of my pigs to remind me that it's time to be fed. His favorites are
parsely and green bell peppers. He purrs when he's content and wheeks
around his cage constantly. He is a joyous addition to our household,
and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to "rescue" him.
