This
is our new colt, Star's Tuck Everlasting - called Tucker for short,
a Percheron baby horse. We can trace his bloodlines back to the first
registered Percheron in France, circa 1880's. He is a black Percheron
with a star on his forehead. We have two quarter horse mares, and a
ten-year-old Percheron gelding who, at first, thought Tucker was a
"stranger" in their field. But he is so sweet and gentle, the other
horses took to him within two days of his being brought home. Now they
won't let him out of their sight!
Tucker also loves our three barn cats, letting them climb on his back
and bite his legs... and he loves to sniff noses with them! We drive
buggies, so we will train him to pull a buggy soon, and if he is
anything like his relatives, he will look gorgeous as a buggy
baby! Everybody loves Tucker!
