This
is my pet hamster. His name is Gutermann, and he is quite a pet!
He is a hamster who sure likes to climb. I got him at a local pet store
with some Christmas money. Right now he is about six months old. Some of
the things that on his everyday agenda are: eat, and sleep.
But his night life is completely different. He wakes up and runs, and
runs, and runs. I have an odometer on his wheel and he racks up an
astonishing average of 8 miles every night. He is also a little piggy.
He will eat any kind of food that is put in front of him. He climbs the
back of his cage instead of using the tubes that are provided for him
(that's why he has earned the nickname Monkey). His other nickname is
"Cobra" because his head looks like a cobra when it is stuffed full of food!
