This
is Buddy! Buddy was given to me by a friend and ever since then has
been a very special part of my life. I had hatched and raised a female
Mallard Duck who I named Miracle, but she sadly went missing and poor
Buddy lost his friend. It was a hard time for Buddy and I, but we held
onto each other and are trying to get past that sad event,(though
Miracle is never forgotten). Buddy wasn't always a "hugging", "kissing",
loving little guy. When we first got Buddy he was friendly, but very
shy. Eventually, Buddy developed a wonderful personality and he became
accustomed to life with us.
Now, Buddy has a girlfriend that my mother bought for me on my birthday,
her name is M.J. and every morning Buddy walks up our steps(with his
girl not too far behind) and onto the back porch to tap on the door for
some a little TLC (plus some treats!). We try to spoil Buddy a lot because
he is just a little bundle of love that never stops hugging and he
deserves the best!
Buddy lives in an igloo-shaped dog house filled with hay during
the warmer seasons and a big wooden shelter also filled with hay during
the colder ones. He has access to a pond (which I made from digging a
large hole and putting a new kiddie pool into it) and he and M.J. have
the whole yard (about one acre) to roam freely without a care in the
world. I hope that Buddy knows that he and M.J. will always have a
forever home with me!!
