This
is Indy. She's five years old, and loves to take showers
under the faucet. We took her into our home after the family that had
her the first few years decided she was too large a responsibility for
them. She has a scar on her beak from an old sore that was not treated,
and her nostril is completely closed on that side. She doesn't mind; it
makes it even more fun to take showers, since no water will go in her
nostril on that side!
One of Indy's favorite games is hide-and-seek. She'll pull newspaper
over her body and lay still for a while, only peeping quietly if you
call her name. She loves to bounce up and down on her large sisal rope,
and will bounce and chirp along with you if you sing. She "plays dead"
in the palm of your hand, and will hang upside down from your finger
like a bat. What a show-off! We love this little clown!
