This
is Petey, my spoiled Green-cheeked Conure, who has undoubtedly
become part of my family! I bought Petey at a Florida flea market when
he was only six weeks old. I hand fed him when he was a baby and that
definitely hasn't changed! Petey does everything with me from taking a
shower to house cleaning to running quick errands in the car. (He loves
to sight-see!)
Getting Petey to go to sleep has become a challenge in itself. If he's
not ready for bed, he'll definitely let you know first by asking
politely, in a calm little voice, "Petey... step up," but if you
choose not to respond to him "Petey step up" will get louder and louder,
turning into a pitiful cry of desperation. I love my little man to
death and he's the best thing that's happened to me!
