Duncan
was my first bird, and has taught me how amazingly funny and
intelligent these little animals are. She has more personality (and
attitude) packed into her four-ounce body than you could ever imagine. She
is very chatty and says many words and phrases, and loves to imitate
household noises (her current favorite being the oven timer). She loves
to whistle and make up little songs for herself to dance to She also
loves to call the dogs, and to throw them the food she does not want.
She loves to snuggle, and spends her evenings burrowing into the sleeve
of my sweatshirt and playing peek-a-boo. She is probably what most
people would consider a "high-maintenance" pet, but she is just so much
fun that all the work is worth it.
