This
is Irie. Irie was named after our honeymoon trip to
Jamaica. The Jamaicans say "Irie Mon" a lot, and "Irie" means "No
Problems". We really liked the name and found it unique. He is my little
baby. I got him a few weeks back and we have become inseparable. He is
such a fun little bird. I was blessed to be able to find a breeder who
hand raised these little guys. The first day he came home with me he
wanted out of his cage immediately, I opened the door and he called to
me and flew to my shoulder for a little cuddling.
He is such a smart little guy, within just a few days we taught him to
poop in his cage before coming out and he has since associated coming
out of his cage with going to the bathroom first. He likes to snuggle in
Mommy's hair and climb into Daddy's pockets in his shirts. Sometimes
when he wants to come out of his cage he kicks all of his food out of
his bowl all over the floor, he knows that it gets my attention! Irie is
currently trying to win the affections of our Cockatiel, Sadie, who is
not very interested in this "strange looking" green bird. We look
forward to a long happy relationship with Irie. He is very special to us.
