Bell, the Pet of the Day
Name: Bell
Age: Four months old
Gender: Female
Kind: Alpaca
Home: Richfield, Wisconsin, USA

Bell is a female alpaca (in the camel family) who lives at Daley's Pleasant Hill Farm, LLC in Richfield, WI. Bell is special because she is just a very loving alpaca and she is very cute. But the thing that is interesting about Bell is that under her belly she is all orange. I have never seen an alpaca that was this color until about a month ago when we were trying to teach her how to walk with a halter. A lot of times when alpacas or llamas are first halter-trained they will either lay down, not move, or try to jump away frantically. Bell did them all, but the one thing she did the most was jump, jump, and jump. One time when she jumped she stayed laying down on her side and we saw her orange belly. We scrubbed and scrubbed and finally realized that was her belly color! So she is unique, as well as being cute and very, very sweet! And that she let us keep washing her tummy without protesting says a lot about her temperament, too!
