Patches
came to live with us three years ago when we were in a pet store
browsing. He was up for adoption because the previous owner didn't want
him anymore. He was barely a year at that point. The girls were more
than happy to take him in and share their room.
Patches is very temperamental bunny and does have a personality.
He likes to snuggle and watch TV with us while being brushed. His
favorite snack is cheerios and sitting on his very own Big Comfy Couch
(from that PBS TV hit). His favorite activities are running laps with
the cat and trimming Grandma's sweet potato plant.
He knows his way around the house. He will be in the basement playing
in the Leggos with the girls and be able to find his way upstairs and to
the opposite end of the house where his cage is. He is very good at
returning to the litter box and not the floor.
Patches is the aggressor. He more than once went up to the Boxer (dog)
and looked him in the face. He even growled and bit the dog because the
dog was too close to his cage! Very gutsy rabbit. He has jumped up on
the couch to sit with the dog too.
He is a very good gardner. He has trimmed Grandma's sweet potato plant
so that it doesn't touch the floor. In fact so it doesn't hang over the
large pot. When visiting Grandma's house, he runs around with the cat
playing tag. When he arrives, the cat goes to his cage and wants
Patches let out to play. Patches likes to play with his ball, Spotless
the cat and leggos. We love our bunny and enjoy him a lot.
