Neon
came into my life on January 2, 1999. I bought him as a present
for my husband, who was very sad after the loss of his first parakeet,
Mr. Cheepers. Neon is a wonderful pet and has filled our lives with joy.
He has 25-30 word vocabulary, including phrases such as "Mommy's pretty
bird," "How's my birdie," "Budgie bird," and "Hey birds." He shares a
room in our Rochester, NY home with our four-year-old conure Kiwi, in
addition to his team of plastic penguin friends.
Neon enjoys spending time playing with his penguins, eating mashed
potatoes and talking to his shadow. I've never met a bird quite like
this, and we cherish every day with him!
