Charlie
was given to me by an elderly woman who could no longer care for
him, and I was honored to be chosen as his new caregiver. Charlie is
smart and funny and he loves to be in the middle of everything that's
going on in our family. He has a large vocabulary, including mimicking
the microwave beep, and he can sing "Happy Birthday to You." Every
morning he says, "Good morning!" and every night he says, "Good night,
sweetheart, I'll see you in the morning." He fools the dog by imitating
a knock at the door and shouting, "Who's there?" so that the dog runs to
the door barking, and then Charlie laughs. He loves to snuggle and get
head scritches, or just see what I'm doing. He even walks down
the hallway to find me when I'm doing the laundry! But mostly Charlie is
special just because I love him so much.
