This
is Angus, my cockatoo. Angus is a special story. He came to us
through a coworker's girlfriend who was unable to care for him anymore.
Another Cockatoo beat Angus up pretty badly and he had developed a
feather picking problem. He also was missing toes because when he was
caught in the wild the captors used tar paper to capture him. At first,
we were unsure of how long he was going to live. This was six years ago
and now he is a healthy, happy, singing bird!
His favorite thing to do now is watch CSI with my mom while he is being
cuddled under the covers. He gives mom "hugs" with his wings and enjoys
a good bath now and again (spraying us in the process, of course). We
could not ask for a more loving and caring bird, although he is a bit
unsure of strangers, but we don't blame him one bit for that.
