My
favorite horse's name is Riley. He is sooo
gorgeous! He lives in Ontario, Canada - I do too! He is a gelding,
that means that he was fixed and can't breed. If he did, his foals would
be gorgeous! I'm thirteen years old and started riding when I was twelve. I love
it! Riley is not a lesson horse. He is an owned horse! He is so funny!
What makes him special is that he can do tricks! He bows for his carrots
and he is learning to shake a hoof. He is also an escape master! My
friend, Nastasia, puts him in his stall with the door open and puts a
lead chain in front of the door so he wont leave. He magically found out
how to escape! He bites and pulls at the lead chain until it comes off of
the bolt! He had an operation about a year and a half ago. He had kidney
stones and got them removed. Right after that, he got Laminitis in his two
front hooves! Laminitis is a disease that deforms the hooves and damages
them! Poor Riley! He is almost recovered from the disease. He is slowly
making a full recovery from his operation. Nastasia does ride him and
she can only trot him. He loves treats and Nastasia - you should see the
way he recognizes her! She takes very good care of him, which is another
reason his recovery is coming along so well! He is special and amazingly gorgeous!
