This
is Buddy, my Umbrella Cockatoo. I am Buddy's third home, and I have
only had him since October of 2002. He's a demanding bird, has trained
me well, and it is all worth it! He's not much of a talker, I have been
working with him though, and so far he is working on saying "Hello" and
"Hi". He loves to whistle though, and has learned the laughs of the
house, so if someone laughs he usually laughs with them. He is easily
excitable, has tons of energy. It's common for him to bob up and down,
dance back and forth, flap his wings, and put his crest up and head
bang. He likes hanging upside down on his play gym, enjoys one to two soaking
showers a week, and will do darn near anything for his favorite treat,
an almond. Oh, and his favorite thing to do, destroy anything he can get
his beak on, nothing is safe in the house. When he's not in perpetual
motion, he likes to cuddle, and be pet all over. The name Buddy fits him
very well.
