This
is Loki, a female Dutch Blue Peach Faced Lovebird Extraordinaire. I
wonder if she thinks she is hatching those pumpkins? Loki turned three
this year. She was hatched August 20, 2000 in Texas and now lives in
Houston. Loki is quite extraordinary for a lovebird because she talks.
And she talks up a storm, too. She can say, "Hello, Kiwi" (Kiwi is our
Hahn's Macaw),
"Hi Loki", "Peekaboo" and variations and mixtures of all of those. She
is practicing "Kimme a kiss" and getting better as the days roll by.
Loki loves to crawl inside our shirts and bite little holes in them. We
now have quite a wardrobe of "Loki Shirts". She also likes to play
"fort" inside a small paper sack and ring her bell. When she is quiet,
she likes to nestle under our hair or chin and give sweet tender little kisses.
