Angelina,
also known as Angel, or Angie may be a Elenora Sulphur
Crested Cockatoo, or she might be a Lesser Sulphur Cockatoo. One fine
Saturday (July 5th 2003) my Mom and I went to the local Animal Society
to see if they happen to have any female budgies (parakeets) up for
adoption, they didn't. But the workers told me they had a really sweet
cockatoo. So just because, I decided to go check him out. My mom nor I
had absolutely no interest in purchasing him, he was $990! But Angel had
other priorities. He came out of his cage, opened up his beak, chose us
to be his home, we came back on Tuesday (July 8th, 2003) with my dad,
and adopted him. We were told that Angel was a boy, but the vet proved otherwise.
The Animal Society found Angelina flying around, (for who knows how
long). No one came to claim her. I suspect, her past owners let her go
because she screams a lot, she is now learning to not be so loud. I
suppose her owner used to be a man, since Angel likes men much more then
women, but she is becoming real fond of me anyway. She is such a
sweetheart! Angie gives kisses to everyone, and anyone she meets. She
also can say"Hello", and "Hi there!" and do a wolf-whistle. She doesn't
even bite! I am so glad she chose me. P.S. Since she has been found
outside she is not pure white, but a little dirty. (You can tell in the
picture.) But when she molts, she'll be even more gorgeous.
