About Us
Missy, the Pet of the Day
Name: Missy
Age: One and a half years old
Gender: Female
Kind: LaMancha Goat
Home: Chillicothe, Ohio, USA

We bought Missy to be a companion for our pony, Fritz. Fritz's horse friend had died very tragically in front of him, and he was now alone in the field. We went to a goat breeder to look at her older goats. Then we saw Missy. She was much smaller than the other goats in her pasture and they were pushing her away from the food. But she was patient and soon was able to sneak in. We brought her home and kept her in a stall for a week. We weren't sure how Fritz would react. When we finally let her out she ran straight to Fritz and they have been inseparable ever since. In this picture she is playing Queen of the Mountain on an old barn foundation.

Our dog, Buckeye, barks at her all the time. She has begun to taunt the dog now. Rising up on her rear legs and coming down at the dog like a ram would. She and Fritz also tease the dog. Missy will get the dog up to the fence and Fritz will stick his muzzle through the fence and bite the dog on the butt. She and Fritz are fast friends, as well as partners in mischief. Missy is very special to him - and to all of us.
