Benjamin
was brought to an animal shelter as a "wild" rabbit. His
demeanor is obviously not that of a wild rabbit, so I suspect that he
was probably born into a household that couldn't keep him for one reason
or another and set him loose. I'm saddened that someone would ever turn
away such a loving creature, but thrilled that he gets to live with me
now. :) Benjamin's not always the sharpest rabbit -- he has a habit of
occasionally tipping over while he's grooming himself, but he tries to
act as if nothing's happened. What he may lack in his overall
intelligence, he definitely makes up with his charm. He will sit and
allow himself to be petted for as long as one may need, which proves
useful when you've had a stressful day. He likes to hop up onto the bed,
and try to "dig" at the sheets... oddly enough, it seems like he tries
to fill in the imaginary "hole" that he's dug by pushing the sheets back
into place. He can be a troublemaker, too. As for games and such,
they're mostly limited to "attack the stick" or "sneak around Steve and
hide under the bed". (He seems to really like being way under the bed --
I think it's because it's "off-limits". I hope that helps you to
understand a little bit of why Benjamin is so very special to me.
