Baby
is a Cockatiel, born January 25, 1999. Baby can say 30 different
things, he says "good morning," he laughs and tells me he loves me, he
can meow like a cat, and he calls out to them "hello kitty meow!" He has
never met a cat in person, though. He sees the birds out side and calls
to them. He looks at me while he sits on my shoulder and says "Bird?" I
say yes, and he says "Come on bird, bird come on!" He even calls with a
clicking sound if they do not respond. He always looks puzzled why they
do not come. He sees a jet go by and thinks it is a bird too. He can
whistle the Andy of Mayberry theme song. He even knows a few others, if
I put anything in front of him he seems to be reading very carefully.
Well, at least it looks that way. He is a thinker and can get what ever
he wants - he will figure out a way. He will play games with you, mostly
he makes the rules. He will continue to do the same thing until you play
with him the way he decides you should. He likes to hide in a brown
paper grocery bag and he eats small puppy biscuits. He is a very
entertaining and is very special to me.
