Tchaikovsky
(Tink for short) is my little overactive Roborovski
hamster. He loves to run in his wheel, but he keeps breaking them with
over use. I though he was a very unique hamster with an interesting fur
pattern. He's rather skittery, but sits completely still if you rub
behind his ears.I found he is much smaller than most Robs; he is about
half the size of the average one and doesn't seem to be getting any
bigger. His favorite toys are his wheel (in which he runs about 7.6
miles a night), and his dust bath. Yes, dust bath. It has Chinchilla
bathing dust, and my little friend Tink enjoys rolling in it. When you
look into the cage, you know he knows you are there and comes to sniff at
you through the bars. I talk to him when I walk by and he looks up
sleepily to see if I have brought him anything good to eat. His favorite
food of all time is strawberry. He is a little skittish to hold, but if
you rub in just the right spot, he'll lay down in your hand and close
his eyes. Tink makes a good little companion for me.
