About Us
Frisco, the Pet of the Day
Name: Frisco
Age: Four years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Appendix Quarter Horse
Home: Idaho, USA

Frisco is a bay (reddish-brown with black legs, mane and tail) gelding (a neutered male) "Appendix" Quarter Horse. The American Quarter Horse Association has an appendix registry for foals with one American Quarter Horse parent and one Thoroughbred parent registered with The Jockey Club). His mama (the Quarter Horse) won all kinds of ribbons for her good looks and conformation. His daddy (the Thoroughbred) won all kinds of ribbons as a performance horse (jumping). Although Frisco is well-bred and very handsome, he hasn't let it go to his head. He's a brilliant student and extremely gentle, affectionate and unflappable. He moves like a dream. He works and plays well with others. He knows how to fetch and shake hands and learns about one new trick per day, thanks to clicker-training. And best of all, he's mine!
