Pedro
is very special to me. Being so far from home, I was very lonely.
The day I got Pedro that changed for the better. I still miss home but
he has made me a much happier person. He fills my life with happiness.
When I am having a bad day I just grab him and cuddle with him. He makes
all my worries go away. He is very special to me and I could not imagine
my life without him in it now.
Pedro is very quirky. I love when he runs around. Usually at night is
when he gets his spunk and takes off running laps around the living room
which we have pig-proofed. Since he is a Guinea Pig, he does not do any
tricks or play games but when we rustle a bag or open the fridge door he
figures he is getting a treat. He wheeks and chirps until you give him
something. He is spoiled rotten. I spend time cleaning spinach and
doing other things for him that I do not do for my husband and myself.
For the most part Pedro is quiet. He loves hay and fresh fruits and
veggies. His favorite fruit is cantaloupe and orange and his favorite
veggies are spinach and seedless cucumbers. Pedro is more of the
independent type - until I can catch him (he runs very fast)! I usually
pick him up and cuddle him twice a day or so. He is usually restless
when I first pick him up, but I hum baby tunes to him and he settles
down and nuzzles with me. It is the nuzzling and cuddling that I love so
much.
