We
got Krickett as a small baby, only a few months old. He's a great
bird, always ready to play and have fun. He talks a little and says,
"Krickett are you wicked?" "Give me a kiss" and "I love you." He also
likes to whistle and mimic the cat. Krickett eats a variety of food
which includes fresh fruits and vegetables. He loves corn on the cob the
best!
Krickett shares his cage with Thumper, a female Quaker parrot. It's
really unusual for two different types of birds like Krickett and
Thumper to live together but they are so in love, always kissing and
calling to each other. If I take Thumper out of the cage for play time
Krickett has to come too! They can't stand to be away from each other at
all. Senegal parrots make great pets. They are quiet and very
intelligent. Krickett never screams like some of the larger parrots and
always has a very soft voice and he likes to snuggle, too.
