Cheekers
is a black and white Syrian hamster. He was born in
Maryland, although he now lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. Cheekers is a very
private hamster. Unlike other hamsters I have known and loved, he is not
very active in his cage, but he is really, really affectionate. When you
do take him out of his cage there is nothing he likes better than to be
petted by humans. I'll have you know that humans love to pet him, too.
His late brother PJ was Pet of the Day in October 2001. Unfortunately PJ
died before Cheekers was born, and the two brothers never did get a
chance to know each other. Cheekers is very special to us.
